City of Eureka Bulky Item Collection Program
Recology Humboldt County offers curbside collection of large or bulky items. Old furniture, refrigerators, mattresses, appliances, and lawn mowers (fuel and oil drained first) are examples of bulky items which are too large to be disposed of during your normal collection. We can pick up bulky household items up to 2 cubic yards (about the size of 2 refrigerators) per pick up. We can also take up to nine tires at a time. Loose items must be bagged. Each customer will receive up to two (2) pickups per year per residence at no additional cost. Please call (707) 442-5711 to schedule a pickup.
Do Not Include: concrete, soil or hazardous waste such as batteries, paint, insecticides, fluorescent tubes, or oil filters. To dispose of hazardous materials, call the Humboldt Waste Management Authority (HWMA) Household Hazardous Waste Facility at (707) 441-2005
(Note: There also may be free waste tire and electronic waste collection events throughout the year. Call HWMA at 268-8680 for more information). For more information about any of our services, please contact a customer service representative.
